Makeup Brush Cleaning Tutorial

As I'm sure you already know, it is very important to wash your makeup brushes regularly and properly.. just like washing your face. I try to wash my brushes every 1-2 weeks, depending on how often I have been using them. Sometimes it is hard to remember or find time to wash all of your brushes, so at least try to clean the face brushes you use every day.

Another thing to remember, you definitely don't want to clean your brushes at a time when you will be needing to use them right away because they do take quite some time to dry and you have to let them air dry (blow drying them will cause the glue to melt and could ruin the bristles depending on what they are made out of). I try to wash mine in the evening so that they can dry overnight.

What you will need:
  • Baby wash/ shampoo
  • A medium sized bowl
  • Warm water
  • A small towel

DIY 3DS/DSi/DS Lite Case

This tutorial is for a 3DS/DSi/DS Lite Case/Pouch. I am basing mine off of a 3DS, but these measurements should also work for the DSi or DS Lite, but you can always change the measurements to fit any device you have.

Materials:
-Two coordinating pieces of fabric
-Snaps (or you could substitute Velcro or a button)

Fleece Tie Blanket

This is a blanket I made using some scraps of fleece that I had lying around. This particular blanket is for an American Girl (or other 18" inch) doll; although the directions work the same for any size fleece blanket.

Materials:

-Two coordinating pieces of fabric that are the same size. (For this project I used two pieces of fleece that were roughly 12"x15")
-Scissors
(Now this part is completely optional, but I choose to add an initial to this blanket)
-Coordinating thread
-Pins
-Printed out letter or other template you choose to use
-Extra scrap of fleece to use to make letter
